Respond To A Downtown Two Alarm Fire
Firefighters from Station 3 (West Street) responded to a working basement fire in a high-rise building. Due to the fire's intensity and the complexity of the incident, the response had to elevated to a second alarm, deploying additional personnel and resources to the scene.
Empowering Resources: HRFE Station 02 (Halifax South End), HRFE Station 05 (Halifax West End), HRFE Station 12 (Highfield Park), HRFE Station 13 (Dartmouth Central), the Halifax Regional Police, and EHS.

Today, April 22, outdoor burning is restricted to between 7:00 p.m. and midnight only. Fires must never be left unattended and must be fully extinguished by midnight. Restrictions are updated daily at 2:00 p.m. during wildfire season. Always check before burning: beforeyouburn.halifax.ca
Even though it is human nature to take pictures and catch some of the action in person, always remember to keep a safe distance from the emergency as to not hinder the important firefighting operations.
